The Group published a book about Pickworth in March 2009, with lots of information about the village - but there is much more to be discovered! The book has sold well and a new printing has been necessary. Available (£15) from Liz Machin: tel 01529 497060, themachins@googlemail.com. If you are interested in any of the following, or in other aspects of Pickworth, please join us:
Village life, as evidenced in early documents (we have copies of inventories from 16th to 18th centuries)
Records of St Andrews Church, from 1538 onwards
The story of your house
History of village families - from earlier to recent times
What do the Census records tell us? (The records are now becoming more accessible)
Changes in the local landscape, and lots of other topics
