Like so many small villages, Pickworth has lost some of its traditional facilities: its school, post office, shop and pub; but these are to be found in larger neighbouring villages, and we also have some visiting services, such as milk, fish, coal, oil, papers, and a monthly library van.

- Post Offices: Folkingham, Osbournby, Billingborough, Ropsley.
- Shops: Village stores at Folkingham and Billingborough, Farm Shop at Folkingham.
- Doctors’ surgeries: Billingborough, Corby Glen.
- Vets: Sleaford, Londonthorpe.
- Pickworth Papers: this is a local newsletter published periodically, with news, information, articles, etc.
